Try a bigger plug, or one with more friction. Glass and steel are pretty smooth and can be used without lube fairly easily, especially for those already fairly experienced with anal, so you might want to try silicone to increase the friction. Going up in size will also increase the surface area and thus the available friction to make you feel it when you push it in.
